Xiaomi Redmi 12 5G is one of the company’s most popular devices. It’s affordable, and with its 5G connectivity, many people purchased the device. Unfortunately, the device cannot connect to the Internet on mobile data, an issue that started after a recent update.

The Redmi 12 5G recently got a new update. According to users, the mobile data stopped working after the upgrade. Interestingly, an update was released to resolve the issue, but it didn’t, as people who installed both still can’t use their mobile data.

Details of the Redmi 12 5G mobile data not working problem

Every week, Xiaomi releases a bug report to highlight issues that users are experiencing. They release a timeframe for these bugs to be resolved, while stating the problems that have been fixed. In the latest episode, the company has announced that they are analyzing the Redmi 12 5G mobile data connection issues.

According to reports, those who installed OS2.0.207.0.VMWEUXM and OS2.0.206.0.VMWEUXM is experiencing issues with its mobile data. The build numbers suggest they are for European users. The problem is exclusive to the region, but we recommend ignoring the update even when you are in a different country.

Perhaps a new update is needed to address this problem. Unfortunately, we do not have an idea when Xiaomi plans to start rolling out a new update. It will probably take some time, as the company is still figuring out the cause of the problem. Nevertheless, you can check the Updater app and install a new update if one is available.

While waiting for a new update that hopefully resolves the problem, you can use Wi-Fi to connect to the Internet on your Redmi 12 5G. We hope a fix arrives soon to address the bug, and you can follow our Telegram channel to remain updated.
