Samsung Galaxy G25 FE debuted with stable One UI 8 based on Android 16. Since the release, the phone has yet to get a new update, but it changed with the first update for the unit. It brings new features while resolving issues reported by early adopters and enhancing security.
We are surprised it has taken till now for the first update for the Galaxy S25 FE to start rolling out. New devices typically begin receiving an update a few days after their release to resolve issues and optimize performance. While the latest update does that, it brings new features that will be useful to many people.

Details of the first update for the Galaxy S25 FE
Samsung is rolling out a new update for the Galaxy S25 FE with a firmware version S731BXXU1AYIB. It’s the first software update and, as expected, comes with a package of 560.64MB. We recommend installing the update, as it includes new features.
The update adds Google Finance to the Now Bar. It means you can see the stock price on your lock screen, but there are a few stops. You need to add a stick to Google Finance, and that way, a major change to the stock price will appear in the Now Bar at the end of the trading day.
Additionally, the update bumps the security patch level to September 2025 to enhance security. Device behavior has been improved, which translates to improved performance and the resolution of any bugs that users might be facing. Head to Settings>>Software update>>Download and Install to upgrade your Galaxy S25 FE.
