It has been five days since Samsung released the One UI 8 update for the Galaxy A36 in Korea. The update is now available in Europe, but is currently limited to a select group of people. We anticipate wider availability in the coming days, but you can always check for the update.

The Galaxy A36 has begun receiving the One UI 8 update. Samsung is rolling it out in stages, first to a limited group of users for testing before expanding the release to all eligible devices.
Details of the stable Galaxy A36 One UI 8 update
Samsung has started rolling out a new update for the Galaxy A36. The latest release has a firmware version A366BXXU4BYI7 and weighs about 2.3GB. Given the size of the package, we expect a toned-down version of all the features that arrived for the premium Galaxy phones. It seems many of the AI-powered features didn’t make it to this device.
We recommend installing the update as it is the first Android OS upgrade rolling out for the device. A few adjustments have been made to the UI, animation, camera app, and others. Additionally, some Android 16 features come with the upgrade, and it’s best if you install it.
To install the update, head to Settings> Software update> Download and Install. Follow the screen prompt to reboot your device after the update finishes downloading to complete the installation.
