Samsung has recently started expanding the availability of One UI 8. The rollout has been limited to Korea for most phones, but that is gradually changing. Galaxy A34 One UI 8 update is the latest to go international, with the Galaxy A54 also receiving the upgrade in Europe, Asia, and Africa.

Galaxy A34 debuted in 2023, running Android 13, and has since received two Android OS upgrades. One, which is the Android 16 update, is now available, meaning only one guaranteed OS upgrade is remaining. Hence, we recommend installing the update to be eligible for future rollouts and, additionally, to improve your device performance and stability.
Details of the Galaxy A34 One UI 8 update
Samsung is rolling out a stable Android 16-based One UI 8 update for the Galaxy A34. It has a firmware version A346EXXUAEY17 and weighs around 2.3GB. Aside from the new features, bug fixes, and optimization, the update enhanced security with the September 2025 security patch.
Since the update has gone global, you can now check for it instead of waiting for a prompt notification. Head to the Settings app, navigate to Software update, and tap Download and Install. Wait for the download to complete before rebooting your device to complete the installation.
If you are wondering what happens after the upgrade, your device will start running stable Android 16. Also, you will notice new changes in the Quick Share, Samsung Internet, and the Camera app. Modes and Routines have new actions and conditions. Alarm, Calendar, and Reminders received improved management features, while the Secure Folder has been improved.
