Xiaomi announced the global release schedule for HyperOS 3 during the unveiling of the Xiaomi 15T and Xiaomi 15T Pro. Surprisingly, the duo debuted running Android 15 on top of HyperOS 2. Although they are first on the list to receive stable HyperOS 3, it means one less update in the long run.

Xiaomi promises four guaranteed Android OS upgrades for its premium phones. Xiaomi 15T series fails under this category, but not debuting with Android 16, which was already available before their release, means one less OS upgrade. Nevertheless, Xiaomi is making plans for the release of the Xiaomi 15T and Xiaomi 15T Pro Android 16-based HyperOS 3 update.
Details of the Xiaomi 15T and Xiaomi 15T Pro Android 16-based HyperOS 3 update
Xiaomi 15T series duo will be the first to upgrade to Android 16 with stable HyperOS 3 globally. The update has yet to start seeding, but everything is ready for the release. According to XiaomiTime, a new Internal build has been uploaded to the server. Unfortunately, only developers have access to the build, but we anticipate a stable beta release soon.
Meanwhile, the builds seen on the servers are for the European models. It has a firmware version OS3.0.2.2.WOSEUXM for the Xiaomi 15T Pro and OS3.0.1.2.WOEEUXM for the Xiaomi 15T. Given that the duo will get the upgrade this month, we expect the rollout to commence soon.
While Android 16 will start rolling out soon, it would have been better if it were pre-installed. Google released the latest iteration of Android OS in August, enough time to debut with the Xiaomi 15T series. Xiaomi did not do that; instead, it pre-installed the duo with Android 15. Instead of receiving up to Android 20, Xiaomi will only release Android 19, since Android 16 will count as one of the four guaranteed OS upgrades.
