Following the rollout of the stable HyperOS 3 update, some POCO F7 users have started reporting new issues. While Xiaomi has already addressed a number of early problems, a fresh concern has now emerged — poor Dolby Audio quality.

Dolby Audio has long been a standard feature on modern smartphones. Developed by Dolby Laboratories, the technology is designed to improve sound output by delivering clearer dialogue, louder volume, and a more immersive audio experience across supported devices, including smartphones.
However, after the release of HyperOS version OS3.0.5.0.WOJIMIXM, several POCO F7 users noticed a noticeable drop in audio quality when Dolby Audio is enabled. Although the issue appeared after a recent system update, Xiaomi has clarified that the root cause is not directly linked to HyperOS itself.
According to the company, Dolby has already provided a fix for the problem. Xiaomi is currently testing the solution internally to ensure it functions properly before making it available to users.

Xiaomi has since halted the rollout of the OS3.0.5.0.WOJIMIXM build. Based on the build number, the affected firmware was released specifically for global variants of the POCO F7, and reports suggest that users in this region are the only ones impacted so far.
The good news is that Xiaomi is actively working on resolving the issue. While there is no official timeline for the fix, it is expected to arrive with the next over-the-air (OTA) update.
In an official statement, Xiaomi said:
“We have received a fix from Dolby and are currently testing it to ensure it works correctly. Once the tests are successful, the fix will be added to the system and released in the upcoming monthly software update.”
