Samsung has confirmed it will bring Airdrop support via Quick Share to Galaxy phones. This development follows the announcement that other Android phones will support this feature after it was limited to the Pixel 10 series. It later expanded to the Pixel 9 series while Vivo announced it would be coming to their phones. The support is now widely available as Samsung phone users are also expecting it.

As expected, the AirDrop support via Quick Share will first arrive for the Galaxy S26 series. Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra are all expected to receive the support via a software update that will arrive in the coming weeks. We understand the first wave of the release will start in Korea before expanding to other regions.

Those in Southeast Asia, Hong Kong, Latin America, North America, Taiwan, Japan, and Europe will also get the feature. The release has already begun, so look for a new software update if you are using the latest Galaxy S26 series phones for the support.

With the support, it will become easy to share files with Apple iPhone devices. Reports suggest that compatibility will extend to iPads and Macs in the coming months, but so far, only iPhones have been confirmed to work with Quick Share. Hopefully, Samsung announces more devices that will be receiving the support soon.
