Samsung has begun rolling out Android 16-based One UI 8 update for Galaxy M54. The much-anticipated upgrade introduces numerous new features, optimizations, security enhancements, and bug fixes. As always, only a limited individuals are receiving the update, but a wider availability is expected soon.
Galaxy M54 launched with Android 13 and is currently getting an upgrade to Android 16. Perhaps only one guaranteed Android OS upgrade remains, and hence, the importance of installing the latest build. Samsung has released a stable build with firmware version M546BXXU9EYI4. It is the much-anticipated One UI 8 upgrade, which bumps the OS to Android 16. Currently, the rollout has started in Malaysia, Myanmar, New Zealand, Thailand, and Vietnam. It might take a few days to arrive on all eligible phones, but you can check for it manually.
Head to Settings > Software update > Download and Install. After downloading the build, reboot your device to complete the installation. Meanwhile, ensure you back up your important files before installing the update.

Of course some features like Now Brief are missing. Samsung has limited it to a few flagship phones, and with the resources required for it to run smoothly, we were never expecting it to arrive for the Galaxy M54.
