Google has yet to release the stable version of Android Auto 15.2, but is already rolling out a new beta update. Android Auto 15.3 beta update is available for beta testers via the Play Store.
Google is rolling out a new Android Auto 15.3 beta update just over one week after it released the last beta build. Perhaps the company will not release a stable build for Android Auto 15.2, given the issues that were reported after the upgrade. One of them was the unreadable music player widget. We expect the latest build to address the bug, which is one of the reasons you need to install the update.

Details of Android Auto 15.3 beta update
Google released the update on September 19, 2025. It is exclusive to beta testers, but you can side-load the APK file. The update has a version number v15.3653804 and weighs about 17MB. Unfortunately, we do not have any idea what changes are coming with the build, but we are optimistic that a fix for the music player widget issue is part of the package.
Additionally, Google has been working on a few additions, like replacing the native Assistant with Gemini. A light theme option will be introduced as well, and since there’s no official release timeframe, it might start rolling out anytime. We recommend installing the update as it resolves issues and optimizes performance.
