Google has started rolling out the February 2026 security patch to eligible Pixel devices. Users can download the update now, ahead of the highly anticipated March Feature Drop.

This month’s release appears to be a quiet one, likely because Google is preparing a major update in the coming weeks. Unlike the usual monthly patches that include several bug fixes, the Android 16 February Security Bulletin lists no known issues addressed in this release.

However, Google’s device-specific bulletin does mention a single fix: a high-severity vulnerability in the VPU driver (CVE-2026-0106). Aside from this, there are no documented bug fixes or functional improvements, making this one of the rare Pixel updates with minimal visible changes.
The update is rolling out over the air, weighs just over 20MB, and carries the build number BP4A.260205.001.
Even though the February 2026 patch doesn’t introduce noticeable fixes, it may include behind-the-scenes improvements. Google still recommends installing it when available, as it enhances security and ensures your Pixel device is fully prepared for the upcoming March Feature Drop.
