Xiaomi has commenced the release of the HyperOS 3 Beta update to supported devices. The Chinese company officially announced the new OS yesterday and is now rolling it out to eligible users. Those with successful applications can now check the Updater app for the much-anticipated upgrade.
Xiaomi HyperOS 3 Beta is coming with new features and optimization. There are bug fixes, but only select users have access to the build. While you can install it manually, your device must be running a Chinese ROM and be among the eligible phones.

The first wave of the rollout has seen Xiaomi release the HyperOS 3 Beta update to eight phones. It will take about 14 days to complete the preview, and depending on the feedback, the company will likely start rolling out the stable build.

According to Xiaomi, there’s a 30% increase in overall system efficiency compared to the predecessor. Hence, users will experience faster application launches, enhanced multitasking, and improved battery life.
With HyperOS, Xiaomi has made other improvements. The company has refined the user interface by refreshing the app icons, updating battery and signal indicators. Interestingly, dynamic island, enhanced calling, and message features are all available after upgrading to HyperOS 3.
How to install Xiaomi HyperOS 3 Beta update
Xiaomi has limited the release to registered beta testers, at least via OTA. It means you can install the update manually. However, you will be doing that at your own risk, as the company will not be held responsible if anything happens. Those who wish to proceed this way should ensure backing up of their files beforehand.
Next, head to Settings>>My Device. Become a developer by tapping the version number repeatedly. Go to the Updater app, click the three dots, and select the update package. Follow the screen prompt to complete the installation, but remember you might experience some issues.
