Two months after the first One UI 8 Beta release, Samsung plans to expand the rollout to more phones, including the Galaxy A series. The South Korean company plans to release the build in select regions, and only a limited number of devices will get the upgrade. And they expect to finalize the preview in the coming weeks.
Samsung has been working on the Android 16-based One UI 8 build for some time, with different devices popping up on their server running the OS. They have now confirmed plans to release the stable build in the coming weeks, while listing Galaxy A series phones joining the beta preview.
The likes of Galaxy A35, Galaxy A36, Galaxy A54, and Galaxy A55 are all expected to start beta preview in September 2025. Unfortunately, the program is not open to everyone, as only select regions have been chosen. Those in India, the UK, the US, and South Korea will participate in the program, and while we expect some other parts of Europe to join, we are still waiting for confirmation.

Meanwhile, living in these countries does not automatically make you eligible for the upgrade. You need to register before you can get upgraded to One UI 8 Beta. Luckily, you won’t need to do much: simply download and install the Samsung Members app, log in to your Samsung account, and tap the One UI 8 Beta program banner on the home page. Once successful, you will get the upgrade via Settings>>Software update>>Download and Install.
We understand the excitement about the One UI 8 Beta update. It means the stable build is imminent. That will introduce many new features, including the new Quick Share design, better alarm and reminders management, improved calendar management, easy access to Auracast audio broadcast, enhanced Secure Folder, new features in the camera app, and more.
