Samsung is still finalizing the rollout of its stable One UI 8 update, and the Galaxy S21 FE is the latest device to join the list. The long-awaited upgrade is now live, though it’s currently being released in limited regions before a wider rollout begins in the coming days.

The arrival of the Galaxy S21 FE stable One UI 8 update was confirmed earlier in Samsung’s official rollout plan. However, it’s the only model in the Galaxy S21 lineup to receive this update, as the Galaxy S21, S21+, and S21 Ultra have already reached the end of their software support cycle. With this rollout, the Galaxy S21 FE also concludes its Android OS update journey.
Details of Galaxy S21 FE stable One UI 8 update
According to reports, the update is currently available in Vietnam with firmware version G990EXXUIHYJ2 and weighs around 2240.58MB. Given its size, the package seems to be a slightly streamlined version compared to what flagship Galaxy devices received.
While Samsung has kept certain AI-based features—like Now Brief—exclusive to higher-end models, the update still delivers Android 16 along with improved system stability and an updated October 2025 security patch.
To check for the update, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Follow the on-screen instructions and reboot your phone once installation is complete. It’s also recommended to back up your data before proceeding with the upgrade.
