Samsung has already begun previewing One UI 8.5 for the Galaxy S25 series, and it appears the Fan Edition model is also part of the plan. Ahead of any official announcement, a One UI 8.5 build for the Galaxy S25 FE has now been spotted on Samsung’s servers, suggesting the update is actively in development.
Although Galaxy Fan Edition devices usually do not participate in beta programs, the S25 FE is still expected to receive the One UI 8.5 update around the same time as the flagship Galaxy S25 models. The early appearance of the firmware on Samsung’s servers indicates the company is committed to rolling out the upgrade to eligible Galaxy S25 FE users in the coming weeks, with a stable release likely scheduled for early next year.
Galaxy S25 FE One UI 8.5 build details
Initially expected to be a minor update, One UI 8.5 is shaping up to be a more substantial upgrade. Early reports from Galaxy S25 series users running the preview build point to several UI refinements and feature enhancements. One of the notable additions is the new Private Album feature, which expands privacy options within the Gallery app.

The update also brings new AI-powered features, smoother animations, and improved system security. As usual, Samsung is focusing on performance optimizations and bug fixes as well. While the exact feature set may vary by device, the Galaxy S25 FE is expected to receive most of the premium enhancements available on the flagship models.
The spotted firmware carries the version number S731BXXU3BYLD. At the moment, this is a development build accessible only to developers. Samsung has not confirmed a public beta for the Galaxy S25 FE, and the update may skip the beta phase entirely and arrive directly as a stable release.
We will keep this post updated as more information becomes available regarding the One UI 8.5 rollout for the Galaxy S25 FE.
