Galaxy Z Fold 6 debuted running stable One UI 7 and was always going to receive One UI 8. Before that, the company must organize a beta program, which they announced was coming to Galaxy Z Fold 6 this week. The rollout has now begun for eligible users, but in select regions.
Galaxy Z Fold 6 One UI 8 Beta is a step closer to the release of a stable build. The device is the third to receive the update this morning after initial rollouts to the Galaxy S24 series and Galaxy Z Flip 6. Interestingly, Samsung has limited the release to Korea, but we expect expansion to other regions soon.
Details of Galaxy Z Fold 6 One UI 8 Beta update

Samsung is rolling out the much-anticipated Android 16-based One UI 8 Beta update for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 in Korea. As expected, it comes with new features, security enhancements, and bug fixes. We anticipate those in India, the UK, and the US getting the upgrade soon.
Meanwhile, living in Korea doesn’t automatically make you eligible for the upgrade. You must register for the beta program through the Samsung Members app. After registration, you can then head to Settings>>System updates>>Download and Install.
We understand the upgrade has revamped the UI for Quick Share, introduced a more secure version of Secure Folder, and a new UX for the Samsung DeX. Samsung is now basing its Secure Folder on the stock Private Space on Android, while Samsung Dex is on Android 16’s native Desktop Mode features. There are other additions on the source link.
