Samsung recently opened the One UI 8.5 beta program to more devices, including the Galaxy S24 series and the Galaxy Z Fold7. More phones are joining the Beta program as the first Galaxy Z Fold5 and Z Flip5 One UI 8.5 Beta build has just been spotted on the company’s tester servers.

According to a recent report, Samsung is planning a One UI 8.5 beta program for the Galaxy Z Fold5 and Z Flip5. Both devices have a build currently on the servers with firmware versions F946NKSU6ZZD1 and F731NKSU6ZZD1, respectively. This only confirms the imminent release of the build.
Samsung has yet to confirm the stable release, which will start with the Galaxy S25 series phones. They recently received a new beta build, which may be the last release before the stable rollout commences. Going by the past release schedule, once the stable build starts seeding, that will signal the end of the beta phase.
All phones eligible for the stable One UI 8.5 will start receiving the upgrade, including the Galaxy Z Fold5 and Z Flip 5. We already know what the update will bring, going by the changelog of the recent release.
