Samsung will release the stable One UI 8 update for the Galaxy S25 in the coming days. It was the first device to start the Beta preview, and as such, it will be the first to receive the upgrade. Some of the features integrated by the build, including Now Brief, have since arrived for older phones, but not the Galaxy S23. The device users are now asking questions about the possibility of getting the much-anticipated feature.
It’s not surprising to see the Galaxy S23 series phone users clamoring for the Now Brief. The feature, which was introduced first with One UI 8 Beta for the Galaxy S25, allows seamless communication with your device. With the help of AI, the device learns your phone’s usage. It picks essential things that require your attention, then creates a personalized briefing you can access from the lock screen. Additionally, it briefs the user about different times of the day with weather statistics. If you have scheduled a meeting, it reminds you about it and more.
Unfortunately, it seems Galaxy S23 phones have been omitted from the list of supported devices. Many people believed it was a bug after the first Beta, but with One UI 8 Beta 2 not introducing it, it means Samsung does not plan to release it for the Galaxy S23.

Why is Samsung not rolling out Now Brief for the Galaxy S23?
Only the company can answer explicitly why it has not integrated the feature. It’s not a hardware issue as the Galaxy S23 is capable of running the most demanding AI tasks with ease. Perhaps Samsung has made the feature exclusive to new devices, like the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S25.
We have seen Apple and Google make new features exclusive to their latest phones. It urges users to upgrade their device, although only a few people will move on from their Galaxy S23 because of Now Brief. Hopefully, the company changes its mind in the future and releases the Now Brief for the Galaxy S23 users.
