It has been a few weeks since Google released the Pixel 10 series phones. They debuted running Android 16 QPR1 update outside of the box, but with the August 2025 security patch. While the devices have since received the September patch, Google is rolling out a new update for the Pixel 10 series phones.
There have been reports from Pixel 10 series phone users about their device performance. The device heats up, which results in battery drain when Android Auto is in use. Typical of recently released phones, new updates are needed to address these bugs, and Google seems to be doing that.

Details of the new Update for the Pixel 10 series
According to 9to5Google, Google is rolling out a new update for the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, and Pixel 10 Pro XL. The update has a software version BD3A.250721.001.E1 and weighs 31MB. The changelog says it “fixes critical bugs and improves the performance and stability of your device.”
Yes, the update is exclusive to the Pixel 10 series, as no other phone is getting a new OTA update. Hence, if you are having a problem with your device since receiving it, you should head to Settings to install the new update.
