Xiaomi has started testing the Redmi 14C Android 16-based HyperOS 3 build. Depending on your region, it’s the same phone as the Redmi A3 Pro and POCO C75. It’s likely the last major Android OS upgrade guaranteed for the device, and therefore, it’s essential to keep an eye on its development.
The Redmi 14C was introduced to the market with Android 14 and was later upgraded to Android 15 earlier this year. Given that most mid-range phones are eligible for two Android OS upgrades, the device will receive Android 16. Testing for the upgrade has started for the device, albeit only for the European models.

Details of Redmi 14C Android 16-based HyperOS 3 update
We are still a few weeks away from the stable release, with the Beta testing just starting. Additionally, it is developers who are previewing the build, but we expect Mi Pilot members to join the testing after the official HyperOS 3 announcement on September 24.
Meanwhile, the build spotted on Xiaomi servers to confirm the imminent arrival of the update has a firmware version OS3.0.0.2 WGTEUXM. It’s an internal build, and hence, only developers have access to it. Unfortunately, we cannot say what features will arrive with the upgrade, but there are many things to be optimistic about.
An official release plan will be announced after the global unveiling in the coming days. While premium phones are likely to receive the upgrade first, mid-range models such as the Redmi 14C, Redmi A3 Pro, and POCO C75 could also be included early on.
