Xiaomi announced the Redmi 15 in August, which is also the POCO M7 in some regions. The device debuted running HyperOS 2 based on Android 15. A few weeks after the release, users are already reporting random reboots.

Redmi 15 and POCO M7 users have reported random reboot issues on the Mi Community Forum. The problem began shortly after a recent update and appears to be limited to a specific region. Fortunately, progress is already being made toward a fix.

Details of Redmi 15 / POCO M7 Random reboot

According to reports from those running OS2.0.207.VBOMIXM on either the Redmi 15 or POCO M7, their device randomly reboots itself. There’s no particular time when it happens or something that triggers it. Meanwhile, from the build number, only global ROM users have this problem, and we recommend ignoring any build with that version number.

Fortunately, Xiaomi has identified the root cause and is actively working on the fix. Unfortunately, we do not know when the fix will be ready to start rolling out, but that might be happening already. The Chinese company is always rolling out new updates even before announcing them. We won’t be surprised if a new build has already been released for the POCO M7.

That said, we recommend checking the Updater app for a new update. Ensure the build has a different version number from the one on this page before installing it. If there’s no update yet, we recommend checking back later or performing a factory reset to resolve the problem.
