Samsung has started rolling out the Galaxy A55 One UI 8 Beta update. It does not come as a surprise, but we were not expecting it on the first day of September. That means the stable build could start rolling out in a few weeks, but you can join the beta program if you can’t wait.
The Galaxy A55 was among the few A-series phones confirmed to preview the One UI 8 Beta build. September is when the update is scheduled to start rolling out, but no one was expecting it on the first day. Perhaps Samsung plans to move faster, which means the stable release could begin rolling out soon.

Details of the Galaxy A55 One UI 8 Beta update
Samsung has started the rollout in India. The update has a firmware version A556EXXUAZYH6 and weighs about 1.9GB. Those in the Region can now join the beta program via the Samsung Members app after signing in with their account.
Unfortunately, we do not have the complete changelog of the new features and changes, but we know the September security patch is part of the package. We anticipate a few AI-powered features and other additions. It will be interesting to see whether Samsung will bring the Now Brief and Audio Eraser to the mid-range phone.
While we wait for confirmation, you can register and become part of the beta testers. Head to the Samsung Members app and sign in. Tap on the One UI 8 Beta banner on the homepage. Follow the screen prompt to complete your registration and head to Settings>> System updates>>Download and Install to complete the upgrade.
