After a few months of beta preview, Samsung has started rolling out the stable Android 16-based One UI 8 update. The release is exclusive to select devices, with the expectation that other devices will join the rollout in the coming days. Meanwhile, if you own any of the Galaxy S25 series phones, it’s time to upgrade your device.
Samsung is rolling out the stable Android 16-based One UI 8 update for the Galaxy S25 series. It’s unclear whether the S25 Edge is currently getting the upgrade, but that is unlikely. Nevertheless, we expect the phone to upgrade to the new OS in the coming days.

Details of the stable Android 16-based One UI 8 update.
Samsung is rolling out a stable build with firmware version S93xNKSU5BY13. Given the software version number, the update is currently available in South Korea. The update size is 555.45MB, meaning those who participated in the beta program are getting the upgrade. We expect all eligible users to join the party in the coming hours.
We already know the features coming with the update. The September 2025 security update is part of the package, and we recommend installing it to enhance your device when prompted. Other devices will start getting the upgrade later this month.
