The rollout of the stable One UI 8 for the Galaxy A36 confirms that Samsung has wrapped up the Beta program. Eligible users can now look forward to the upgrade. At the moment, the update is available only for units in Korea, but it’s expected to expand to other regions soon.
It will take a few weeks for the Galaxy A36 to start receiving Android 16-based One UI 8 in other regions. The One UI 8 scheduled release so far has the device in October. However, there is a chance it will start rolling out before the specified date, as those in Korea have already begun upgrading.

Details of the stable One UI 8 for the Galaxy A36
Samsung is rolling out a stable One UI 8-based Android 16 update for the Galaxy A36 users with a firmware version A366NKSU2BYI9. Aside from introducing all the expected changes, the build is the September 2025 security patch to enhance security and patch security flaws.
Unfortunately, some of the AI-powered features introduced for the Galaxy S-series flagships are missing here. Hopefully, the features that did make it to the device will make up for the absence. We recommend installing the update when prompted, as this marks the first cross-section Android update released for a mid-range phone.”
To install the build, head to Settings>>System updates>>Download and Install. Ensure you back up your important data before initiating the download.
