Google has officially rolled out the first Android 17 Beta update to eligible Pixel devices. For now, testing is limited to Pixel phones, but the expansion to third-party brands is expected in the coming weeks — and Xiaomi is likely to be among the first to join.

    Xiaomi Android 17 update

Based on the Android 17 development timeline, Google is targeting platform stability in May, around the same time as its annual I/O event. This is typically when partner brands begin beta rollouts. If history repeats itself, Xiaomi could kick off its Android 17 beta program shortly after.

Android 17 is expected to arrive on Xiaomi devices alongside HyperOS 4, which is reportedly already in development.

When Will Xiaomi Release Android 17?

While there’s no official confirmation yet, Xiaomi traditionally debuts a new Android version with its next flagship lineup. Android 17 is expected to launch first on the upcoming Xiaomi 18 series, before rolling out to other eligible devices.

Shortly after, the update should expand to current flagship and upper mid-range models, including the Xiaomi 17 series and select Redmi and POCO phones.
