There have been reports on the internet suggesting the HyperOS 3 release date. The company never confirmed any of those dates, but we now have a time frame, albeit for the Chinese units. We understand the company has scheduled a launch event tomorrow for the release of its latest OS.
Xiaomi has scheduled a “launch conference” for the HyperOS 3 announcement. We haven’t heard much about the upcoming update, but we can finally see what features it will bring after the debut.
Details of the Xiaomi HyperOS 3 release
Xiaomi has announced on its Weibo account the HyperOS 3 launch event. According to the official announcement, “Xiaomi’s Surge OS 3 launch event will be livestreamed.” The event will start at 3:00 PM on August 28. It’s an online event, meaning you can join the live stream.
According to the company, the update is tailored to meet users’ needs while making operations on the device smooth. That said, Xiaomi HyperOS 3 is focusing on Enhanced system animation, enhanced iconography, consistent visual language, and a refined feedback and interaction system.
Of course, the update will bring Android 16 and all the customizations. However, not all eligible phones will get the upgrade to HyperOS 3. Xiaomi only supports its devices for a couple of years, meaning any device that has exceeded its Android OS support period won’t get a new OS.
Regarding phones that will receive the update, we have an idea of what they are, but we expect an official list after the announcement. We expect Xiaomi to confirm phones getting the upgrade and plans.
