To improve animation was one of the reasons for switching to HyperOS, and while there has been an improvement, a new update sometimes arrives to break some things, making it sluggish. That is probably the case with the last update released for a few devices, but it seems to affect those on Dark Mode.
According to reports, during page transitions in Dark Mode, a white flash is visible, which has now been confirmed as an issue. Perhaps the recent animation update caused the bug. An effort has been made to address it, but it will take time due to the sensitivity of the issue. Nevertheless, only a few phones are experiencing the screen animation issue on Dark Mode, which might help speed up the fix.
Xiaomi phones with screen animation issues

Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G is the only device currently having this issue. We understand that the problem is noticeable during page transitions, which led to the escalation, and fortunately, Xiaomi caught it. To be precise, only those running OS2.0.203.0. VOPMIXM are having this problem.
While there might be other phones affected, only the device mentioned in this post is officially affected.
However, with a new animation update expected in the coming days, we believe the problem will be fixed for everyone. While waiting for the update, you can switch to light mode if a screen animation issue is a big problem for you. We understand there is no such bug in the light version, so you are safe when you switch. You can bookmark this page to know when a new update is available that will resolve the bug.
