Samsung will start rolling out the One UI 8 Beta update for the Galaxy S24, but before that, they need to prepare the device for a seamless transition. Hence, the Korean company has started rolling out a new update that pushes the Android security patch level to August 2025 with other enhancements and bug fixes.
The Galaxy S24 series was confirmed to receive the One UI 8 Beta update later this month. Unfortunately, that is not the update rolling out, as Samsung perhaps wants to prepare these phones for a seamless upgrade. They are rolling out a new update, which is available for limited users in select regions. It is the August 2025 security patch, but comes with extra enhancements and bug fixes, given the build size.
Details of the Galaxy S24 August 2025 security patch update
Samsung is rolling out a new update for the Galaxy S24 series in India and Korea. The update is rolling out with version numbers S92xBXXS4BYH1 and S92xNKSS9BYG8, respectively. The build size is 478.65 MB for those in India, while in Korea, it’s arriving in a 315MB size.

Arriving with the builds are system optimization, bug fixes, and improvements. We recommend installing the update, especially if you are waiting for the One UI 8 Beta build. We are anticipating the release in the coming days, and hopefully, there will not be a change in the time announced.
