Xiaomi has been previewing the HyperOS 3 update since the official announcement last month. The same testing has been ongoing in China since August, and it’s now time for the stable HyperOS 3 update to start rolling out. The release will likely happen simultaneously with the Chinese and global schedules, identical.

Finally, the wait is over as we are officially in October 2025. Xiaomi phone users will be very excited since the stable HyperOS 3 update will start rolling out. The build has been in the news, and with official rollout commencing this month, there are many things to be excited about.
HyperOS 3, although it didn’t bring many new features, is the best iteration of Xiaomi OS yet. There has been a revamp of the UI with new icons, battery, and signal symbols. HyperOS now has a new look, inspired by Apple iOS. Also, from Apple, Xiaomi has introduced HyperIsland, a new way to manage your notifications seamlessly.
Another interesting feature is the cinematic wallpaper. It allows you to animate your favorite wallpaper. The improvements extend to the gallery as well. The gallery app is now smarter and can recognize 10 common categories like food and landscape. This will help to bring precise, relevant results immediately.
And for the first time, the animation smoothness has surpassed that of iOS. It seems Xiaomi copied Apple and became better while at it. There’s a new feel when launching and closing an app on Xiaomi phones running HyperOS 3, something that has never happened before.
Aside from the in-house features, the update will bring Android 16 to eligible phones. Google has made improvements in the way your data is handled and what each app has access to. Hence, there is every reason to be excited about the release of HyperOS 3.
