So far, only a few Xiaomi phones have upgraded to Android 16 with stable HyperOS 3. The rollout remains China-exclusive, but we expect a Global release soon. POCO F7 Pro will be among the devices to receive the update first when it becomes available for international models.

Xiaomi is set to start rolling out the POCO F7 Pro Android 16-based HyperOS 3 update. The last internal build spotted on the company’s servers shows it is probably a matter of time before the update starts rolling out. We are expecting the release this month, but as usual, it will commence with Mi Pilot members.
Details of the POCO F7 Pro Android 16-based HyperOS 3 update
Xiaomi has finalized the internal testing of the POCO F7 Pro Android 16-based HyperOS 3 update. The latest build uploaded to the server is the public build, at least for the Mi Pilot members. These groups of people will preview the build for a few days, and with their feedback, Xiaomi will decide whether to proceed with a wider release or halt the rollout.
Meanwhile, the current build has a software version of OS3.0.1.0.WOKMIXM. It’s for the global model and based on Android 16. We are not certain when Xiaomi plans to release the upgrade, but since the device is supposed to receive an upgrade in October, we are optimistic it will start rolling out in the coming days.
There are many reasons to be optimistic about the arrival of the stable HyperOS 3 update. Xiaomi has revamped the system with animation now smoother than ever. Additionally, the company has made managing notifications easy with the new HyperIsland. You can check out the other features here.
