As Xiaomi continues rolling out the Android 16–based HyperOS 3 update to eligible devices, reports of minor bugs are beginning to surface. One of the latest issues appears to affect the Redmi Note 14 and Redmi Note 14 Pro, with users reporting unexpected shutdowns when the battery level is still above 0%.

Battery Percentage Bug After HyperOS 3 Update
Xiaomi smartphones are well known for their large battery capacities and strong endurance. However, following the recent HyperOS 3 update, some Redmi Note 14 series users have noticed unusual battery behavior. Instead of draining normally to 0%, affected devices now shut down automatically once the battery reaches a low percentage.
According to Xiaomi’s HyperOS Weekly Bug Report, the issue has been identified as a “battery percentage mismatch.” This suggests that the latest software update may have disrupted battery calibration, causing inaccurate battery readings. Such issues are not uncommon after major Android upgrades and often resolve over time or with corrective updates.
So far, the problem appears to affect only a small number of users, particularly those on Global ROMs, and Xiaomi has already started working on a fix.
Affected Redmi Note 14 and Redmi Note 14 Pro Software Versions
The battery shutdown issue has been reported on the following software builds:
- Redmi Note 14: HyperOS 3.0.4.0.WOGMIXM
- Redmi Note 14 Pro: HyperOS 3.0.3.0.WOFMIXM
Based on current reports, the bug is exclusive to Global variants of the devices.
Xiaomi Acknowledges the Issue, Fix Incoming
Xiaomi has officially acknowledged the problem and released a test build to a limited number of users for early feedback. While some users report that the issue has been resolved after installing the test update, others are still experiencing unexpected shutdowns.
Temporary Fix: Recalibrate Your Battery
If your Redmi Note 14 or Note 14 Pro still shuts down before reaching 0%, you can try manually recalibrating the battery by following these steps:
- Allow the device to fully discharge until it turns off.
- Charge the phone uninterrupted from 0% to 100%.
- Once fully charged, use the device normally.
This full discharge–recharge cycle may help restore accurate battery readings until Xiaomi rolls out a stable fix for all users.
