It has been years since we heard about Pixel phone bootloop issues. Google has improved the stability of its software since the problems of the Pixel 6 series. While bugs are reported after a new update sometimes, the latest bootloop issue is affecting a good number of Pixel phone users.

According to reports, some Pixel phones have been stuck on the G logo at boot. Users began experiencing this issue since the March security patch, leaving their phones unusable. Though the problem is not widespread, we have seen multiple reports hinting that many people are affected.
We understand that all the Pixel phones still eligible for monthly updates are having this issue. Hence, if you are an owner of the Pixel 10, avoid the March 2026 security patch. Additionally, Pixel 6, Pixel 8 Pro, Pixel 7a, Pixel 10 Pro XL, Pixel 7 Pro, and others are also having this bootloop issue.
Google acknowledges the Pixel phone bootloop issue.
It’s not often we see Google acknowledge a bug affecting Pixel phones. The same way they did with the Android Auto connection issue, the tech giant has now confirmed it’s “actively investigating and working on a resolution,” previously asking for bug reports and confirming teams are “actively working to identify a fix.”
If you are an affected Pixel owner, Google said you should contact customer support. The company has also been trying to offer assistance by commenting on Reddit threads, probably because getting help via customer service can be frustrating.
We hope for a fix or for the company to offer detailed guidelines on how to resolve the issue. That’s because factory reset, which often resolves issues like this, isn’t working as recovery mode, where you can factory reset the device that is bootlooping.
