Google has yet to release the stable Android 17 update, but they are already focusing on the September Feature Drop. With the Android 17 QPR1 Beta 1 update rolling out, it is a matter of time before the stable Android 17 update starts rolling out.

Google is expected to release a stable Android 17 update next month, but the company is not waiting till that to start the next phase of beta testing. According to Google;
“Android 17 QPR1 Beta continues with the next round of Beta updates for our September Feature Drop release.“
From the changelog released with the update, it does not seem that the update comes with new features, only bug fixes. Below is the complete breakdown of the bugs that have been fixed.

- Resolved an issue where uncontrollable hardware audio processing on the voice communication path caused distortion and phase cancellation in VoIP applications. (Issue #494843726)
- Direct audio output may fail to open on devices using the AIDL audio HAL when playing audio streams longer than five seconds. (Issue #372064012)
