Xiaomi is planning the release of HyperOS 3 later this month. The Korean company will release a beta build for eligible users before the stable rollout, but some devices will not be getting the upgrade. These phones, now officially revealed, will stop receiving a new security patch update next month.
Xiaomi has improved its support policy in the last year but is yet to match the top leading smartphone companies, Samsung and Google. The duo offers seven years of Android updates while Xiaomi promises four years of support for their flagship phones. Mid-range phones mostly get four years of support, and hence, a new phone pops up on the EOS list every few weeks. As usual, the company has added nine phones that will stop getting support soon.
Xiaomi phones that will stop getting a new update
Two Xiaomi flagship phones have been added to the EOS list. These devices were launched in 2021 and will stop getting any form of support on September 23, 2025. It will be exactly four years since the device was launched.

- Xiaomi 11T Pro
Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE and Mi 11 LE will also stop getting a new update on the stated date. It means these phones will run Android 14-based HyperOS 2 when their support period ends.
Additionally, POCO M5 and Redmi 11 Prime 4G will stop getting new updates. The duo has been on Android 14 for months, and that will not change as support is ending soon. The same thing is expected for the Redmi A1, POCO C50, and Redmi A1+. Three of them are on Android 12, based on MIUI 13, meaning it’s been a long time since they stopped getting an upgrade.
Since these phones are now confirmed to stop getting any form of support soon, we recommend upgrading to a new device. Xiaomi is always launching new devices. It will make sense to purchase a new one. Of course, if you wish to continue getting updates, you should move to a recently released phone.
