Recent smartphone innovation centers on the battery, with most companies now equipping their device with massive battery capacity. Most Chinese companies are debuting phones with over 7000mAh capacity, thanks to Silicon carbide. Xiaomi, the parent company of Redmi, is not new to tech, as it used it to achieve a big capacity for the Xiaomi 17 Pro series. However, the sub-brand Redmi is expected to take things further when they release these supposed devices with a 10,000mAh battery.

Details of Redmi upcoming 10000mAh phones

According to reports from China, Redmi is working on three smartphones that will debut with a 10,000mAh battery. We understand the company will adopt a single-cell battery, meaning the availability will be limited to a few regions. That is because of EU law that prohibits phones with a single-cell exceeding 5200mAh from being sold in the region.

We understand the top-tier Redmi Note series will debut with this massive battery capacity, as well as the premium K series. With a huge battery comes faster charging, and Redmi plans to equip its phones debuting with a 10,000mAh battery with 100W wired charging.

Perhaps these phones will only feature massive battery capacity in China, as some countries do not allow it yet. That will probably limit the availability, but we have seen Redmi debut tweaked phones to the global market. The Redmi Note series, for instance, is different depending on the region. Sometimes they are even launched under the POCO brand with different features but the same design. The same happens with the K series lineup, which is usually released as premium POCO phones.

Based on current indications, Redmi is likely to launch these devices with a different battery capacity in Europe—unless the company chooses to keep the original configuration exclusive to the Chinese market.
