The best part of the Galaxy S25 One UI 8.5 Beta 9 update is the introduction of support for AirDrop via Quick Share. We understand the update, which introduced the feature, is now being extended to those in the US. If you are part of the beta program, you can check for the update and install it to get the AirDrop-like sharing feature.

The Galaxy S25 One UI 8.5 Beta 9 update is rolling out for the carrier-locked version in that region. It carries a firmware version ending with ZZD5. Aside from introducing support for AirDrop and the April 2026 security patch, the update delivers bug fixes and optimizations.
Galaxy S25 One UI 8.5 Beta 9 update brings support for AirDrop to the US
- Support for AirDrop connection with Apple devices
- Applied 3 new camera filters (Classic Film, Pop Film, Blanc)
- Improved issue where Bluetooth connection disconnects and reconnects periodically
- Improved issue where the top part of the notification card was cut off
- Improved issue where the screen flickers and colors are distorted when changing zoom level during dual recording
- Improved stuttering issue when entering gallery albums under certain conditions
- Improved issue where AOD time information was displayed incorrectly in certain situations

We expect the features, bug fixes, and optimizations to arrive for the unlocked version in the coming hours. While those who have enrolled in the beta program are receiving the upgrade, you can enroll via the Samsung Members app. Search for the banner for the beta program and follow the screen prompt to complete the enrollment. Once that’s done, head to Settings>>Software update>>Download and install to complete the installation.
