Xiaomi is still working on upgrading several devices to Android 16 with HyperOS 3, and the Xiaomi 13 series is next in line. The company has already uploaded a test build to its servers, and from all indications, it appears stable enough—suggesting that the official rollout is just around the corner.

    Xiaomi 13 HyperOS 3

Launched in 2022 with Android 13, the Xiaomi 13 series is eligible for four major Android updates. It has already received two, making Android 16 the third. The device is also expected to get Android 17 eventually, but the first step is installing the upcoming HyperOS 3 update.

HyperOS 3 brings a refreshed and smoother user interface, including subtle visual changes to elements like the battery indicator, Wi-Fi signal, and app icons. Xiaomi has also introduced HyperIsland, a Dynamic Island–like feature designed to improve notification management. It now supports live notifications, allowing users to follow real-time updates directly on their screen.

Beyond visuals, the update includes AI enhancements across the system, performance optimizations, and several bug fixes. We highly recommend installing the update once it becomes available.

Xiaomi 13 HyperOS 3 Update Details

Xiaomi is preparing to release firmware version OS3.0.1.0.WMCMIXM for the Xiaomi 13, targeting global users. While the rollout hasn’t begun yet, all signs point to an imminent release. Don’t expect an official announcement—simply keep an eye on the Updater app to know when it goes live.

Before installing the update, ensure you back up all your important data. Since this is a major system upgrade, it may take time for apps and system processes to fully adjust. Minor glitches are possible, and in rare cases, a factory reset might be necessary to resolve issues.
